The standard Fluorotron uses fairly wide bandwidth filters for excitation and emission, so many other fluorescent dyes other than fluorescein may be used. For instance, riboflavin may be measured with the Fluorotron with only a change in calibration.
The Fluorotron may also be special ordered with different filter sets, light sources, and even special detectors. We have even produced a few Fluorotrons for customers for use with infrared dyes.
